Let's fly away...

I guess I'm leaving around eleven hours from now, I can't wait!

First stop is Suzhou to take in all the nature and romanticism of China. Suzhou has been called the Venice of Asia as there are so many rivers and lakes etcetc. Another interesting fact is in the CBD of Suzhou, buildings are not allowed to be over five storeys, and the high rises are only built out of the CBD.

But the truth be told, I actually find Suzhou can be slightly boring, as the shops aren't that great. I've been there too many times to enjoy the nature aspect, but I hope the Winnie, Jane and Jenni like it. We'll be staying at my apartment there, which is perhaps one of the best about going to Suzhou. It means no checking in and out of hotels in the early morning hours (11am is early ok? -_-;;) and no tardy room service.

Here's a photo of my luggage to keep you entertained before I talk about our next destination. I'm bringing a large suitcase, a small suitcase and a hand bag. The suitcases are pretty much empty (I'm packing EXTREMELY light), but I'm sure by the end of the trip, I'll have excess baggage for my flight >.<;; I didn't even bring a coat!

Our second destination is... the Paris of Asia. The economical centre, (home of my good friend Winnie and other women who seek to marry aging billionaires with heart problems)... SHANGHAI XD Don't take me seriously, I'm just joking around, besides as Ken says, "Shanghai girls have nice asses!"

I love Shanghai though, the shopping is TERRIFIC! You can find markets where things are very very cheap, a few streets away from the Louis Vuitton boutique. I love Plaza 66 and the two other major shopping centres next to it, they are just amazing to shop in and I'm getting giddy inside just thinking about it.

Shanghai is also very beautiful (however in contrast to Suzhou's 小河流水) in the big city sense. Bright lights, big buildings and a budding night life. I've stayed in the Ritz-Carlton Portman in Puxi and Shangri-La in Pudong before and the rooms and service in both are very good. If you ever go to Shanghai they're the place to go (depending on which side of Shanghai you want to be). However, as we're going without parents this time, we're staying in a cheaper hotel closer to Winnie's home.

Yay, another photo interlude. This time it's of my passport and tickets. SO EXCITED!!!

Last but not least, we finish off our one month trip in the one and only Beijing. Yes, I shall take in all the traffic, the pollution, the crowd, the sights and the shops. I love Beijing so much. I guess in a way you always have a sort of an affectionate connection to the place you were born in. Although I left Beijing when I was three, I've visited it many times and it changes so much every time I go. There is always something new and in construction in Beijing. I think they want to go out with a bang in 2008.

Beijing's shopping is no way second to Shanghai's. Shops are everywhere, but probably the main shopping districts are Xidan, Dongdan and Wangfujing, which are really close to my grandparents home (where I usually live going back to Beijing). The city of Beijing is made up of rings of roads which bascially circle the city. Tiananmen is at the very heart of Beijing and 2 Huan is the first ring around it. The next ring is 3 Huan, the next one is 4 Huan and so on. I think the city has expanded to about 7 Huan now. The famous road, Chang'an Jie (which is two minutes away from my home, where all the bright lights and happy people are) has so many lanes it can land an passenger aeroplane... seriously.

I'll be having a white Christmas this year =D

Right, last picture. This is a watch my dad bought for one of my uncles at Duty Free. I thought it looked really nice (but in actual fact, I like the red case more than the watch itself o.O). I was trying to persuade my dad to buy me the Dior Christal watch in the full sappire, but he wasn't convinced -_-;;

Anyway I want to wish you you all an early Merry Christmas^^ I shall return on NYE to see the fireworks on the Harbour Bridge.

New Layout ⇒ Itachi

I thought I'll put up my new layout before I left for China. Yes, I was being lazy with S2 before but then I realised it took just as much time filling out the colours, so I'm back to the confusing codes of S1. This layout is of the hothothot Itachi from Naruto ^.~ Stare and worship.

Does anyone know the code for having a specific number of posts on the page?

[Edit]: Only works properly for resoultion 1024x768+ IE. If you have 800x600 press F11 and it should work better^^

I got back home at 10:30am this morning from the St Pius after party and I really feel I need sleep now. I spent two hours on the phone with Jenni, our excitment of China exacerbating with each location we talked about visiting.

I'm meeting up with Cindy tomorrow for some coffee and we'll probably just end up lazing around at my house for the rest of the day.

Right, bed, yes.

Year 12 Formal or as the USAers call it: Senior Prom.

Event: Cranbrook Year 12
Date: 14th November
Venue: Royal Motor Yacht Club Point Piper

Most people dressed really really well! No one had that horrible done up hair with overused glitter hairspray (I apologise to those who like that look). I even met a girl, around 6'2 who was an uncanny Mischa Barton look-a-like. One of my favourite dresses was a girl wearing a short strapless black dress which flared out at the end tutu like. She wore a brown belt around the waist so it was casual and sexy!

Wow, that sounds really ugly when I describe it. It actually looked like one of the dresses from the Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2006 RTW collection, thus it must be hot!^^

I wore a melon pink and gold dress with a light pink pashima (cause it was cold) and my bronze metallic heels. I also did my hair up. I copied a up do out of the November Vivi.

That's the dress.

I seemed to think the hair looked quite nice and elegant (to contrast the shortness of the dress) but now looking back, I think it kind of looks like granny hair @.@

Jane and I at the venue. The ambience was amazing.

Event: Sydney Girls Year 12
Date: 15th November
Venue: Novotel Darling Harbour

It was so nice to catch up with everyone again. It was also kind of sad as it was the last time I would ever see the people in my grade together.

The dresses were also really beautiful. Everyone dressed so much better than they did in the year 10 formal. Ahh, we have all grown. The coolest dress in my opinion was Roshelle's, because she came in a Gothic Lolita dress! It was mad, I couldn't stop staring at it.

The only fashion faux pas' was probably two girls coming in clown makeup, one girl having eyebrows like a geisha, only one girl managed to dress like a floozy and one girl dressed like she was a bride... wait that was me.

Yes, I wore a long white dress. One girl even commented, "that's the type of dress I want to get married in!" I guess I got sick of wearing so much black to my Year 10 formal and Year 11 semi-formal that I decided to wear chaste white this time.

I got my hair curled at the hairdressers because I didn't trust my curling iron but I did my own makeup as I didn't (and still don't) trust the "make-up artists" at the Napoleon/M.A.C/Chanel/Clinique etc etc. They put so much foundation on I could probably scrape it off at the end of the day. I wore the new silver shoes I bought in Bondi. They aren't very hot, but I was in such a hurry to find a pair of silver shoes to go with my dress that I just bought them out of desperation.

The dress.
Don't laugh at it... even on sale it still cost me a fortune.

This is taken in the apartment we booked for the night at Star City.

Then at around midnight when the formal finished, the girls and I went back to our apartment, I got changed then we went down to the casino for some happy gambling^^ We all ONLY had a Tequila shot.

Jenni and I. Yes we're in the bathroom, as everywhere else in the apartment was too dim to take photos (and I try to avoid using flash at all costs).

That dress by the way, I totally bought out of impulse and that was the first and probably the last time I have ever worn it.

Date: 16th November
Event: North Sydney Boys Year 12
Venue: Waters Edge The Rocks

The dresses for some reason seemed less spectacular than the previous formals, however all the guys were dressed well. Joyce probably had the prettiest dress. It was turquoise and white and with her curls the dress just looked so nice.

There was this super hot korean and japanese girl at the formal and as I was getting introduced to them I wanted to ogle over them longer, but they might of thought I was a pervert or a bitch depending on what my ogle expression is... I wouldn't know what it looks like @.@

I wore a black dress... yeah black. Black is classic (or so I try to tell myself). I also blow dried and ironed my hair straight for about a hour until I achieved dead straightness.

I also got to wear the necklace I bought for my Year 11 semi-formal again. Yay!

I AM FREE

I know you guys miss me but this is just absurd:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I'm kidding^^, I'm just pretending to be all casual about my bizarre MSN popularity tonight. But thanks to everyone who did actually talk to me and ask me how everything was going.

So how is everything going? Well...

I am completely and utterly free from the confinements of high school education. I, have completed my HSC on the 2nd of November 2005 and it's a very good feeling.
It still hasn't completely sunk in that I have 1 year and 4 months of having fun (before Uni starts), I keep thinking there is something I need to study, something I need to revise. Ha I'll get over it.

Anyway buy this months Vivi 'cos it's a good issue.

Any issue with Namie Amuro on the cover would be a good issue.

This is one of my favourite pages:

<3 the outfit.

I had so much more to write about but strangely my mind has gone blank... the way it should after my exams.

Oh before I go, I uploaded two knew photos to my DeviantArt: Halloween and Violet Skies. So view view view!

I'll post real soon, after I've done more than just sit on my ass and watch Desperate Housewives re-runs.

Edit: OmFg totally forgot to add that... I AM SO DYING TO SEE GOBLET OF FIRE!!!, but I'll be in Beijing when it premieres (Jenny, Jane, Winnie and I will just have to suffer the wait). If you're bored make sure you check out the trailer. Harry Potter is teh sex! Seriously! The movie looks so funny, especially the bit when the Veela walk in a Harry just dribbles out all the water in his mouth ahahaha (I'm so easily amused).

Also Memoirs of a Geisha is coming out soon too. I have no idea when it comes down under yet, but I'm very excited about it as it's one of my favourite books. The beautiful Li Gong 巩俐 will be playing Hatsumomo. I can't believe this woman is 40 years old, she is so stunningly elegant.
