Let's fly away...

I guess I'm leaving around eleven hours from now, I can't wait!

First stop is Suzhou to take in all the nature and romanticism of China. Suzhou has been called the Venice of Asia as there are so many rivers and lakes etcetc. Another interesting fact is in the CBD of Suzhou, buildings are not allowed to be over five storeys, and the high rises are only built out of the CBD.

But the truth be told, I actually find Suzhou can be slightly boring, as the shops aren't that great. I've been there too many times to enjoy the nature aspect, but I hope the Winnie, Jane and Jenni like it. We'll be staying at my apartment there, which is perhaps one of the best about going to Suzhou. It means no checking in and out of hotels in the early morning hours (11am is early ok? -_-;;) and no tardy room service.

Here's a photo of my luggage to keep you entertained before I talk about our next destination. I'm bringing a large suitcase, a small suitcase and a hand bag. The suitcases are pretty much empty (I'm packing EXTREMELY light), but I'm sure by the end of the trip, I'll have excess baggage for my flight >.<;; I didn't even bring a coat!

Our second destination is... the Paris of Asia. The economical centre, (home of my good friend Winnie and other women who seek to marry aging billionaires with heart problems)... SHANGHAI XD Don't take me seriously, I'm just joking around, besides as Ken says, "Shanghai girls have nice asses!"

I love Shanghai though, the shopping is TERRIFIC! You can find markets where things are very very cheap, a few streets away from the Louis Vuitton boutique. I love Plaza 66 and the two other major shopping centres next to it, they are just amazing to shop in and I'm getting giddy inside just thinking about it.

Shanghai is also very beautiful (however in contrast to Suzhou's 小河流水) in the big city sense. Bright lights, big buildings and a budding night life. I've stayed in the Ritz-Carlton Portman in Puxi and Shangri-La in Pudong before and the rooms and service in both are very good. If you ever go to Shanghai they're the place to go (depending on which side of Shanghai you want to be). However, as we're going without parents this time, we're staying in a cheaper hotel closer to Winnie's home.

Yay, another photo interlude. This time it's of my passport and tickets. SO EXCITED!!!

Last but not least, we finish off our one month trip in the one and only Beijing. Yes, I shall take in all the traffic, the pollution, the crowd, the sights and the shops. I love Beijing so much. I guess in a way you always have a sort of an affectionate connection to the place you were born in. Although I left Beijing when I was three, I've visited it many times and it changes so much every time I go. There is always something new and in construction in Beijing. I think they want to go out with a bang in 2008.

Beijing's shopping is no way second to Shanghai's. Shops are everywhere, but probably the main shopping districts are Xidan, Dongdan and Wangfujing, which are really close to my grandparents home (where I usually live going back to Beijing). The city of Beijing is made up of rings of roads which bascially circle the city. Tiananmen is at the very heart of Beijing and 2 Huan is the first ring around it. The next ring is 3 Huan, the next one is 4 Huan and so on. I think the city has expanded to about 7 Huan now. The famous road, Chang'an Jie (which is two minutes away from my home, where all the bright lights and happy people are) has so many lanes it can land an passenger aeroplane... seriously.

I'll be having a white Christmas this year =D

Right, last picture. This is a watch my dad bought for one of my uncles at Duty Free. I thought it looked really nice (but in actual fact, I like the red case more than the watch itself o.O). I was trying to persuade my dad to buy me the Dior Christal watch in the full sappire, but he wasn't convinced -_-;;

Anyway I want to wish you you all an early Merry Christmas^^ I shall return on NYE to see the fireworks on the Harbour Bridge.

The delights of subculture... and MAN CANDY!

[Edit]: FUUUUUUCK! As I was about to type another entry I deleted my old one. How the hell did I do that?! Eh, I'll re-type the old one.

So what have I been doing for the past couple of days?

Read Here )

Today as we were walking down the city, we spotted a shop called Shibuya which had some mad Gothic Lolita dresses. Being someone who really wants to by a Gothic Lolita dress (don't ask O.O) I desperately wanted to go in for a browse. The only problem was I was dressed in slighly inappropriate clothing for that type of shop.

A mix of the two -> Vintage ladylike inspired by BCBG Max Azria and Hermès' Spring/Summer 2006 collection.

And so, I felt extremely self concious and stange amongst the spiky hair, platform boots and black frills. But damn, I so wanna buy something like this.

It reminds me of the time a few years back when I was dressed in a little pink tartan skirt with a flowing black top, a pink beret and black boots, (yes, I was very into colour coordination back then) carrying a Kinokuniya bag full of Lead merchandise and I followed a friend (and his guitar loving, punk rock girlfriend) down to a CD shop called Utopia. BIG MISTAKE! I had an extremely uncomfortable time surrounded by lanky guys with greasy long hair and mohawked women with too many piercings. The music... well instead of my ususal boy band love ballads there was screaming men singing about death, killing and suicide. I left REALLY quickly.

I have never gone back to that CD shop, but I might one day when I've bought that Goth Lolita dress ^.~

Before I leave to go read Deathnote here's something which I thought might interest the boy loving girls and the boy loving boys.

Isn't he gorgeous... his eyes are just so... luring (rofl that's such a Winnie word). He would be even better if he shaved. I prefer the clean cut type. When you see this man in a magazine or on the side of a bus (he's in the new L'oreal ads) do blow him a kiss for me.

RIP

My dear cell phone left this world on the 4th of November 2005. I could still recieve calls, but wouldn't be able to read messages or even find a number in my phonebook, the LCD moniter died on me. I used to change phones every 9 months but I had Flaunt for 2 years. That's how much I loved it.

I'll remember all the good times I'd shared with her, all the times when I applied lipgloss to her mirror, all the times when I would smugly tell my friends that they couldn't have sex that night as their pregnancy probability was 99% and all the times I checked my biorhythm on an important date and was glad to see that my mental, physical and emotional state were all positive. She did everything, she was my friend... I could rely on her to connect me to the world and I could hurl her to the ground every time threw a tantrum (maybe that's why she died o.O)... RIP.

On the bright side, this means I get a new phone. I'm not sure if I should get one now or wait until I come back from Japan. If I get one now it means I can only use it for 4 months and by the time it's 2007 all these new models would have come out and I probably wouldn't want it anymore... hmmm dilemma dilemma. I'll just use the spare phone for now and see how I go.

Yesterday I went shopping with Jenni at Bondi, but was quite disappointed as there wasn't much stuff (it was like Boho overload! -_-;;). I was also stupid enough to go shopping in heels which hurt, so I ended up buying a pair of shoes that didn't hurt as much. But they're made out of suede which is annoying 'cos I have to spray it every time I wear it.

Low heels=smart

But while Jenni got a mani, I went to get a spa pedicure, which was wonderful and so my feet were all rejuvenated and that's when I realised my new shoes did also hurt! I hadn't realised before because my feet hurt so much from wearing the previous shoes >.<;;

I also bought a pair of shorts.

Image taken down.

That's them. I wore them today going shopping with my mum, except I made the mistake of wearing those pumps (above). They hurt too. I just never learn.

Ooh I have such a love hate relationship with that camera angle. On one hand it's slimming, but on the other hand it makes you look short. Hmm... It's like my love hate relationship with heels.

Poll of the Day:
What do you have a love hate relationship with?

Self Love

Guess where I went today? Bushwalking in Bobbin Head, yeah getting in touch with nature! It was good fun, even though I was PMSing and having one of those I-feel-so-ugly days. I was pulling at my face in the car thinking I couldn't walk out into public looking like that, my mom was shaking her head with a look of pity, my sister was rolling her eyes and my dad just ignored me (probably used to it o.O) and drove on. However, tonight I had dinner in my favourite Chinese resturant in St Lenonards, I opened up the fortune cookie they gave me and this is what I read:

And like a bright light at the end of the tunnel...

Nothing dramatic happened, I just thought it was a nice coincidence that I got that fortune cookie for today^^.

New Story

Yesterday, I was talking to a good friend about who was hotter, Hyolee or BoA. I told him I personally prefer Hyolee, but it was a shame that she was fake. I said, she probably would have been good looking without plastic surgery anyway. Then he just erupted:

Friend: "How is that fake! It's still apart of her body isn't it?! Then it means it's real!"
Me: "Well since it's not naturally part of her body, then it means it's fake."
Friend: "Well, then makeup is fake too!" (And he got personal... he knows I wear makeup).
Me: "Sure I guess it is. That's why they call a makeup free face au naturel."

I have nothing against plastic surgery, if I had the money I would be all fake now. I just don't know why he got so worked up over it (he was a BoA fan anyway @.@) then had to personally attack my unnaturalness (and that is a word, I checked the dictionary ^.~)

So Poll of the Day: If someone had plastic surgery, would it be legitimate to say that they were fake?

Speaking of makeup, I've been once again splurging on unnecessary items, and in the past few weeks these unnecessary items have been makeup.

I bought Liquid Eyeliner in Pure Black (even though it was a soft tip, and I'm only good at using the hard tips >.<;; but the bottle was just too pretty), a Pure Pop (I really don't need anymore lipglosses) and the Magnascopic Mascara (this mascara works really well though) all from one little counter in David Jones. *whispers* (it's okay though, mom had to buy foundation so she paid for all my stuff as well ^.~).
[Edit]: Can't be bothered taking photo of Pure Pop again @.@

Last week was worse because I ended buying Source #1, even though I bought Source #2 a month ago:

But how I can justify for buying the Disco Edition Juicy Tubes is the fact they were on sale XD

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Also bought this lipliner on the same day (I don't even wear lipstick A#@:%OUdsfakaks!!!), but I got the Blush/Lipgloss/Eyeshadow pack for free (it was one of those, spend over a specific amount of money and get this free promotions <--- I'm a sucker for them).

Okay so it might not seem too bad, but once you've seen all the junk in my bathroom you'll think there was something wrong with me for buying more stuff (which I'll never really use).

Want to see the mess? Click for more pics )

There you go. Now you have eye witness of my insanity. Good night everyone! Dude, where's my car? is on right now XD
